Cabin Baggage Policy
Your comfort and safety are our prime concerns
We appreciate that you may want to take various items on board with you. However, even with our spacious cabins and overhead lockers, we do have to ensure that the size and weight of carry-on items are not hazardous to our passengers.
All cabin baggage must be of a size that fits either under the seat in front of you or in the overhead lockers. The placement of bags, briefcases or other items behind your legs is not only uncomfortable but is unsafe and is not permitted.
It is essential that cabin baggage is not large that aisles or emergency exits are obstructed, as this is forbidden by the Civil Aviation Authority. Of equal importance is a limitation on weight, which helps minimise the risk of injury to either you or another passenger, should a bag fall from an overhead locker. Our staff and Ground Handling Agents have been instructed to follow the policy carefully and therefore will not allow baggage to be carried into the cabin if it exceeds the maximum size and weight limitations.
In addition, reasonable quantities of duty free purchases may be carried on board, but must also be stowed accordingly.
When flights are not full we will usually be able to accommodate a fully collapsible pushchair or stroller in the cabin for infant passengers. However, when this is not possible these items will be carried as checked baggage in the hold.
Your understanding and co-operation in following these guidelines will help us to achieve our objective which is to maintain our commitment to providing safe, comfortable journey on Royal Brunei Airlines for you and your fellow passengers.
