Passports issued by Israel and Taiwan, unless accompanied by a document in lieu of passport with an entry visa, are not recognized by the Malaysian authorities. However, transit on the same aircraft is permitted without leaving the airport premises. Visas are required by passport holders of China, India and Sri Lanka.

TRANSPORTATION
A number of tour operators provide chauffeur-driven cars, vans or 4WD vehicles, but there are only a few fully-fledged self-drive companies operating in Kuching. However, taxis and several bus services also operate.
