Excess Baggage

Special Baggage Charges

For baggage that is intended to be checked in for a flight, it’s outside dimensions should not exceed the sum of 62 inches per piece. If any piece of checked baggage has exceeded the 62 inches, the following conversion rate is used to determine the cost of carriage:-

Unit of measurement Equivalent weight

Compare the actual weight with the volumetric equivalent weight and charge the higher.

Carriage of volumetric baggage is subject to space available in the aircraft cargo hold. A passenger’s free baggage allowance may be considered when excess baggage weight is charged.

Sporting Equipment

Sporting equipment may be carried as part of the free baggage allowance in accordance to the class of travel. A passenger who checks in eligible sporting equipment will be granted a 5 kg waiver of excess baggage charges when eligible sporting equipment is checked in.

The 5kg waiver may not be combined with ANY other waiver. For example if a Royal Skies Silver member checks in with eligible sporting equipment only the 10kg Royal Skies waiver will apply.
