On 25 May 2012, Royal Brunei Airlines launched a UK tourism campaign at Westfield Shepherds Bush.
The three-day Brunei Tourism Road Show at Westfield (Friday 25th May – Sunday 27th May) will be officially opened by special guest Benedict Allen – TV presenter, explorer and author – and Deputy Chairman of Royal Brunei Airlines, Mr. Dermot Mannion.
The opening ceremony will take place at the Brunei stand in the North Atrium at 11am this Friday, and marks the launch of a wider campaign focus on Brunei and its unique eco-tourism in the run up to the launch of the airlines’ new Dreamliner in August 2013.
Shoppers can expect to see an impressive Bruneian rainforest theme at the stand as well as unique cultural dance performances three times a day during the road show. Not only that, but anyone who visits the stand will have the opportunity of winning tickets and a selection of other prizes along with exclusive travel discounts for trips to Brunei – a once in a lifetime opportunity for anyone seeking adventure.
Mr. Dermot Mannion stated, “The launch of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner by Royal Brunei Airlines next year will put Brunei firmly on the map. We want to show the public just how much Brunei has to offer, from its rainforests and incredibly diverse eco-system to its cultural heritage and unique lifestyle. We think everyone should be able to experience the culture of Brunei – the Green Heart of Borneo and beyond, and there’s no better way to travel than with the unparalleled service and relaxing flights Royal Brunei Airlines offers.”
Benedict Allen said: “I’m passionate about Brunei and the fantastic nature adventures it offers. Not only did Brunei host my first ever jungle expedition, but while I was there I discovered 7 new types of fig wasp in the rainforest and even had one named after me. Brunei is an incredibly special, magic place, and I would urge anyone who hasn’t been to go and explore all that Brunei has to offer for themselves.”
Benedict Allen is best known for his BBC TV work including shows: Skeleton Coast, Travellers’ Century, Edge of Blue Heaven and Ice Dogs. Benedict is also an accomplished author with ten books to his name including The Faber Book of Exploration and Into the Abyss. Royal Brunei Airlines, as the National Carrier of Brunei Darussalam, is unparalleled for its excellence of service with flights running daily from London Heathrow via Dubai to Brunei, South East Asia and Australia.
The Royal Brunei Airlines tourism road show will be at Westfield Shepherds Bush from Friday 25 May to Sunday 27 May 2012.
